Our volunteers are the heart of StemCompass. Without them, we would not be able to continue to support the hundreds of youth in our community. We support, engage, and encourage our volunteers; doing our best to ensure volunteers know how highly valued they are. Staff and volunteers are working together towards one goal to motivate and educate.

Volunteer Opportunities

Corporate Volunteers

Corporate volunteers are employees participating in their company’s volunteer program. Ongoing, periodic or one-time event opportunities are available.

Administrative Volunteers

Administrative volunteers assist with office duties at our office in downtown Atlanta. If you are under the age of 18, let us know on the volunteer form we will need a signature from your parent or guardian.

Mentors

Mentors offer support, friendship, and a constructive example to individual students. A mentor’s guidance and encouragement helps children explore their special talents and navigate their life decisions.

Special Events Volunteers

Unable to volunteer during the week?  Special Events volunteer names are placed in our database and will be notified of special events scheduled outside regular program hours that require volunteer participation. We suggest to only accept those events that are convenient for you.

If you have any questions, contact Dr. Valerie Bennett, Director of our Volunteer Program at (404) 273-3717, or fill out our online Volunteer Form. We can tailor the volunteer program and time to fit you. Our Volunteer Director will help you determine how best to get involved. Daily, weekly, or maybe just on occasional weekends.

Daily program volunteers participate during the program hours between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday-Friday, as homework helpers or activity assistants.
